Answer: The 1.5 quart is about 7.5 inches in diameter. Not sure of the measurement for 2.5 quart. -

Size of holes? Draining fat out of ground beef?
Answer: They are only about 1/8 inch big. I’m able to drain angel hair pasta with no problem. -

Answer: I don’t see why not. It is made of stainless steel so there should be no problem to strain anything hot through it. It’s a nice strainer. -
