Techland's Torment: Tides of Numenera is a storyline-heavy game with a lot of reading that can be both engrossing and enticing. It follows a text-based formula more akin to tabletop RPG games. The storyline is interesting, but the overall performance is janky, including long load times, frame popping, delays, and robotic character movements. The controls are also quite buggy, resulting in difficulty transitioning between areas. While it is a great game under the covers and worth exploring if you are a fan of games like Baldur's Gate and Fallout, better options exist out in the market such as Divinity Original Sin I and II which provides an updated version of these types of games - with amazing graphics and improved gameplay.
