Question:
What is the opening below the riser track? Is this another way of going through the tunnel?
Answer: There is a little brown plastic door at the entrance of the tunnel. It swings in and out, so a train can go either direction. It's one track with no crossroads. -

How tall is the inside of the tunnel?
Answer: The exit is 2 3/4 in. The entrance is 2 5/8 in. Our Thomas trains and Imaginarium trains fit. -

Will this work with Ikea train set?
Answer: This will work with Ikea's Wooden Railway trains and tracks. -

Is anyone else having trouble with the base unlevel, causing problems attaching other tracks?
Answer: We haven't experienced that problem. My grandson tends to play with the tracks on a carpeted floor which is more forgiving than a hard surface. -

Does the tunnel make any fun noises as the train passes thru it?
Answer: No, it doesn't make any fun noises but my grandson loves building it into his track. It has a swinging door that the train pops through. It is a well built piece that we use with the Brio tracks. -

Can anyone confirm that these really do fit the wood chuggington trains (which are considerably larger than the other brands)
Answer: No -

Does this fit the motorized Thomas trains?
Answer: I don't think so, we have a motorized Sampson and he's a little too wide. The wooden ones of any brand fit great! -
Question:
What are the sides made of?
Answer: Looks like a decent quality particle board. The exterior is smooth and the interior is rough like you expect particle board to be, but the interior is not a sliver-hazard. It's decent quality. -
Question:
Does the tunnel flap swing both ways, so the train can go up the tunnel as well as down?
Answer: The door can swing both ways, though you can push train car up the tunnel, but letting train go down the tunnel is a more natural way of playing.
