Answer: No, sodium phosphate is not added. -

Answer: Anything you adulterate the meat has the chance to discolor, but this product is a very mild color and generally it won't. However, the liquid you use may have caramel coloring that may cause discoloration. -

Answer: Yes, a dry rub is used. Coarse ground pepper, sea salt, garlic powder, and onion powder are recommended. Paprika can be added for color when cooking pork butt. -
