Answer: The remote is compatible with vented or vent free logsets, APK-10, APK-11 and EPK-1 ignition valves. -

Answer: Yes, the remote is all battery operated with no power needed and works even in a power outage. -

How many additional transmitters can the receivers learn?
Answer: The receivers can learn up to two additional Skytech transmitters so you can have multiple remotes. -

What is the replacement for model UN3 receiver?
Answer: The UN3 is part of a package, which is part # SKY-MRCK. You can't just buy the receiver package with that part number. I've tried using the 1001-A receiver/remote, and it would not work on our gas logs. Your mileage may vary. -

Does the remote kit include both receiver and transmitter?
Answer: If you choose to purchase this listing from our company, OnFireGuy LLC, you will receive the complete remote kit. The remote kit will include the receiver, hand held transmitter, batteries, wall cover plate (used only if you are placing the receiver in the wall instead of under the fireplace), and complete installation instructions. -

Answer: You would need a millivolt gas valve to operate this remote control/receiver box kit. This product would not be applicable as a wood burning starter. -
Question:
Will this remote work with a pleasant hearth propane log set (lowe's) to replace the remote control and receiver, e.g. model # vfl-cy24dr?
Answer: This is a millivolt system, you should make sure the current remote system is also a millivolt system. Log set typically don't use thermostatic control. So you may want just an on-off remote. -
Question:
Does this come with complete wiring diagram?
Answer: I don't know if it's a complete diagram. The installation consisted of loading several batteries in the control box and plugging in 2 wires... the remotes were immediately functional. The manufacturer/distributor was very responsive to questions before I ordered.
