Answer: It comes with bases but you still need a home base from same company. My daughter-in-law bought the phone for my husband, who is hard of hearing. Ended up costing me, because I had to add a home base and another phone. Can be purchased from Clarity -

Answer: Thank you for your interest in the D704HS. You can add Speed Dial numbers under the main base handset (model number D704 or D714). You can add up to 10 speed dial numbers. -

I just bought a 704 base phone and need another phone Is this compatible? And - does it need a wall jack or can it plug into a wall outlet?
Answer: The additional phone comes with its own base for charging only. It links up with the base of the primary phone easily and works very well. -

Does the phone line go into this or do you have to buy a main base?
Answer: You need a main base. This is just an extension. The main base (Clarity D712) has the RJ-45 jack for connecting to the wall (phone) socket. -

Answer: Presently and for several years have 3 spares and one base. One spare is on lower level and two spares are on main level.
