Answer: The flakes can be added to solvent or water-based lacquers, clear basecoats, resins, varnish, and other similar substances. -

Answer: Yes all of our products are used in automotive applications. This product is sold in dry flake form and mixed into automotive paints. Highly solvent resistant. -

How much will 2oz of flake cover if I want to metal flake a guitar? Should it be sprayed over black?
Answer: 2oz will be plenty for a guitar. If you want the appearance of faster coverage, use a base color that is 4-5 shades darker than the flake. Otherwise, it is best to use a color-matching base. You can start out with 1-2 teaspoons per sprayable quart, when mixing you can gauge the coverage with a mixing stick. Always start low and add as you go depending upon how heavy you want the flake.
