Answer: I don’t about this , it’s a reputable company I’m sure if you ask them they could replace.it mine has been in operation 4 years.. There must be something defective about yours. These thermophores are designed to last. -

Is the control switch back lighted?
Answer: You need to hold down until the dot on 'low' lights up. Just the dot for the heat level lights up. Auto shut-off after 20 minutes or so. -

Some answers say it is made in the usa and others in china. which is it?
Answer: The Thermophore Liberty is made in the USA. The regular Thermophore is made in China. -

Does the neck one normally make an intermitant beeping/buzzing noise?
Answer: The buzzing noise you hear is the thermostats warming up -

Does anybody know how to keep the power cord from twisting? Mine is bad.
Answer: To avoid the cord from twisting, we would need to unplug the pad after each use. Once the cord has started twisting, there is no way to straighten it out. -

Can you lay on it?
Answer: Instructions say to not lay on it, but I do. You are to put a towel between you and the heating pad. I use it for my back. Laying on my stomach with pad on my back doesnt work for me. I just lay on it with towel between. -

Do I have to hold the controller the whole time I'm using it?
Answer: No, you do not need to hold the control while you are using it. This pad has the controller that has three different settings. -
Question:
What does momentary switch mean?
Answer: You have to hold it down until it reaches the desired temperature then let it go. It switches off within 20 min. And you have to hold it again for a good minute or more. -
Question:
How does model no. 355 differ from model no. 255 and model no. 055? they are all the same size of 14'x21' yet there is a big difference in the prices
Answer: The 355 has 3 settings low, med and high with auto shut off. The 255 has a switch that you must hold down until it gets to the temp. you want, you then let go of the switch and it turns off. Basically, you control the temperature by pressing and releasing the switch.
