They include an excellent variety of specimens ranging from butterfly wings to bamboo canes, and even some animal scales, feathers, and hair. Their durability sets them apart, and they are real specimens. A downside is they are non-standard size and cannot be stored securely in their original box, making it not very suitable for home use. There are no precise sizes listed to purchase a container that would work. A number of people found that they were smaller than standard size slides and therefore did not fit very well on microscope stages, and therefore couldn't be viewed whole. However, the product is reasonable for a good price point, and would be best suited for a classroom or educational setting.
